The municipality scaled the correct weights of the traded products and has been standing at several locations. Leaseholder was inn / pub owner Meindert Rider. Three cheese merchants were there: Matthijs Verdegaal, William and Jacob Hope. Two of them are immortalized in bronze in 1981 by Kees Verkade; The statuette was presented by William M. Hope Foundation. It is on the market, near the Amstel from where the Uithoornse products have been transported elsewhere. In 1960, this market was terminated.
