We discovered this while geocaching. There are markers or interest/lookout stations(about) every half mile. And as luck would have it, there just happens to be a geocache very close to each post or station. An excellent trail to teach hiking AND geocaching!
I contacted the Scout Master and then the Scout. He sent me some additional pictures. The first anniversary of the project is 3/29/2016!
The trail is a graded road with plenty of elevation gain and loss. (It's a hilly road.) The mile markers have the out & back miles on opposite sides along with the elevation at each.
