The team may be gone but the tower remains. The baseball tower is near the former Charlotte Knights stadium off I-77 in Fort Mill, SC.

At one time the Charlotte Knights played their AAA minor league games at a stadium in Fort Mill, SC. The nearby water tower was painted to resemble a baseball in honor of the team. When the new BB&T Stadium (Branch Banking & Trust) was open in Charlotte, NC in April 2014 the team abandoned the South Carolina site and moved to Charlotte, NC. However the baseball water tower remains as a reminder of what once was. You can drive right up to the Baseball Water Tower of get a good view of the tower from the northbound lanes of I-77.
