Opened in 1975 on five levels, the Part-Dieu mall is the second largest shopping downtown center in Europe in number of stores and the third for the annual attendance.
Indeed, while most French and European shopping centers are off in suburbs, allowing a vast exploitable area, the Part-Dieu mall is in the center of the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon, one of the most populous and dense neighborhoods of the city.
