Historical Courthouse of Lyon was built between 1835 and 1847. It was renovated in 2008.The courthouse is registered as French historic building.
With its many columns in front of the building, the courthouse is also known as the "Courthouse of the twenty-four columns." It houses the Assize Court, the Court of Appeals and the judicial administrative department
It hosted famous trials such as that of the murderer of President Carnot and the trial of Nazi officer Klaus Barbie.
Le Palais de justice historique de Lyon dont le décor intérieur est classé Monument historique a été construit entre 1835 et 1847. Il a été rénové en 2008.
Avec ses nombreuses colonnes en façade du bâtiment, le palais est aussi connu sous le nom de « Palais des vingt-quatre colonnes ». Il abrite la Cour d’assises du Rhône, les services de la Cour d’appel de Lyon et le service administratif interrégional judiciaire Centre-Est.
Il a abrité des procès célèbres tels que celui du meutrier du président Carnot ou celui de Klaus Barbie.
