The A6006 Zouch Bridge, also known as County Bridge, it was built in 1930. The two inscriptions "L.C.C 1930" and "N.C.C 1930" denote that the bridge not only spans the River Soar, but the county border of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
The bridge is apparently due for replacement in the future, as it is beyond economic repair. The structure was constructed at a time when material quality was not as well-controlled as it is today, hence the bridge suffers from poor quality concrete which does not provide adequate protection to the reinforcement within. There is extensive cracking in places and the waterproofing system has failed.
