The Sheffield Speed Skating Oval in Lake Placid, NY was used in the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. Jack Shea became the first person to win 2 gold medals, when he won in 1932, and Eric Heiden won 5 gold medals in the 1980 Winter Olympics. It is still used in wintertime for public skating.
