An old outhouse stands near the back of Weaver Cemetery, near Ables Springs in rural Kaufman County, TX. While showing its years, it's still in good condition, but bring your own roll!

This one-seater could use a little bit of a refurb, but it does show signs of past TLC, given the fading and peeling white paint, green trim, and floral decoration on the front and one side. The seat is atop a concrete base, and the door latch is missing, requiring a piece of concrete to keep the door closed.
Location:
The Weaver family were early settlers in what is now Kaufman County, and many of them are buried here. The cemetery is about two miles from Ables Springs, which was established from land provided by James Ables, whose large headstone is visible at the cemetery gate. The Weaver Cemetery and the Ables Springs Cemetery have some overlap of area residents.
