Le Domaine de Montauger, qui appartient au Conseil Général de l'Essonne, est en cours de restauration. Il était prévu de faire des fenêtres sur cette partie du château, mais cela c'est avéré impossible. L'option d'une peinture en trompe l’œil a été adoptée. Par une belle journée d'été l'illusion des feuilles des arbres et du ciel qui se reflètent sur les vitres, sera parfaite.
Le Domaine est ouvre ponctuellement ses portes durant les travaux, mais le trompe l’œil est visible depuis le chemin qui mène au château, en bord de route.
