William Bartram Trail - Traced 1773-1777. In 1775, Bartram noted an "arborescent aromatic vine" and "a new and beautiful species of Verbena" growing near here.
Marker is located in the VERY nice Burden Gardens, located in the middle of Baton Rouge. Very great place to visit.
