Quick Description: An old railroad bridge today carries small vehicle traffic over Snake Creek, on the appropriately named Old Railroad Rd, slightly southwest of West, TX.
Location: Texas, United States
Date Posted: 2/10/2016 7:43:16 AM
Waymark Code: WMQDGC
Views: 7

Long Description:
Bridgehunter provides these vitals for this Parker pony truss bridge with camelback upper chord:

Length of largest span: 102.0 ft.
Total length: 107.0 ft.
Deck width: 9.8 ft.

Be careful when selecting a place to park. The bridge itself is but one lane, capable of handling the average motor vehicle, but given the past railroad bed, the shoulders of the road slope considerably. Be sure to not block traffic, and don't park where your vehicle is going to roll or tumble away from you.
Parking Coordinates:: N 31° 47.054 W 097° 10.133

Date Built: 1/1/1920

Length of Span:
102 feet

Visit Instructions:
Log your find with a picture of the bridge with yourself or your GPS in the foreground. This shot does not have to be taken "on" the bridge. The shot should show the "truss" structure of the bridge as well.
