The 90 mm M-1 Anti-Aircraft gun was the primary anti-aircraft gun for World War II and the Korean War. As we progressed through 1950s, most anti-aircraft artillery was replaced by guided missile systems that are still in use today.
This A.A. Gun has a caliber of 90mm or 3.5", the barrel is 4.6 meters or 15' long and could fire that 90mm projectile 17,823 meters or 58,474'. That is just over eleven miles. Not bad for a 70 plus year old weapon.
This Gun is No. 925 from 1942 and was made by the Allis Chalmers Mfg. Co.
Location restrictions: Daylight Hours only as this is an active Cemetery - There is no entry fee.
