This weathervane has the outline of a Mustang, which is is the mascot for Norwood High School.

In Norwood, on top of the newly built salt shed in the DPW facility, is this weathervane with an outline in the form of a Mustang.
The DPW facilities are located at Lyman Place, which is off Central Street. There is also a facility exit to Nahatan Street - this is where you can see the weathervane.
The weathervane is mounted on a cupola on the peaked roof of the large shed. The post extends from the cupola, first to the cardinal points, then the flat silhouette of a horse running full gallop. This is the symbol used at the Norwood High School.
