[FR ] Le 26 janvier 2014 à midi une grue a mis un sceau-grosse pierre sur un trou dans la terre, enfermant une capsule dans laquelle les habitants de la ville enterraient pour 50 ans leur présent. Dans un long tube en PVC y ont été déposé les dessins des écoliers annezinois, les écrits des grands et des petits, les clés usb et d'autres objets qui relatent le monde d'aujourd'hui, vécu par les habitants de la commune. Une plaque érigée à cette occasion rappelle solennellement que « La capsule temporelle du patrimoine 21.01.2014 sera ouverte en 2064 ». Un demi-siècle dans la terre pour transmettre un enseignement que : « A côté de le mémoire individuelle existe aussi une mémoire collective ».
