This memorial is "In Honor of our Nation's Defenders" and is located in a cemetery in Butler, Indiana. It's a very well-kept cemetery, and is still in use, so please use care and respect when logging this waymark.
There is also a cache nearby, so visiting this waymark can net you a "two-for-one-stop"!
The stacked cannonballs appear to be welded together (and it's a good thing, too.) The bushes and "garden" around the memorial have always been in good shape and well-maintained whenever we've visited. It's a lovely place to go and honor our nation's defenders.
The statue is wearing what appears to be clothing from the Spanish-American War, but we haven't been able to verify that.
