Henry Kelsey

Henry Kelsey, The "Little Giant" of the Hudson's Bay Company, was the first European to reach the Saskatchewan and to see the Grizzly Bear and the Buffalo. In 1690 he was in the Carrot River Valley; in the Autumn of 1691 he journeyed up the Red Deer River to Nut Lake, passing near Greenwater Park.
