"In 1887 the Semi Tropic Land and Water Company established the town site of Rialto. The town quickly grew into a key citrus producing region then on November 17, 1911 the prosperous and growing town site incorporated as the city of Rialto. Over the years Rialto has kept pace with the changes from several thousand acres of citrus growing and packing town to a modern residential cirtyt. Today, 100 years late, the city of Rialto has developed into a diverse community with a balance of residential, industrial and retail activities making it ans important part of Inland Empire. The city continues to change to meet the needs of its citizens and the surrounding area."
