The Maypole Inn is a delightful 18th Century historic village pub set in the rural village of Borden, near Sittingbourne, Kent.
The pub offers two log fireplaces creating that warm and welcoming atmosphere whilst enjoying our fine ales and wines from around the world, during those colder months. And a large beer garden with a play area out the back for children to enjoy whilst you soak up the rays and enjoy a bottle of rose, red or white house wine, or maybe just a nice cold pint (_)3 during the warmer ones. :o)
Although built in the first year of George II, in 1727 it was not until August 1763 that a licence to sell ales from one of the cottages was granted.

The sign..... of course depicts a maypole, with some youngsters dancing around it. Not the same sign I remember from some 30 years ago though.
