"This Place of Worship was founded in 1840, but we understand it was closed in 1976.

Opened in 1840 as a chapel of ease to St Werburgh, Christ Church acquired full parochial status in 1844. In 1972, the parish was united with Holy Trinity, and shortly afterwards with St Peter, to become a combined new parish of St Peter with Christ Church and Holy Trinity. Following the merger, Christ Church became redundant, and it was closed for Anglican worship in 1976-77. It is now (2010) dedicated as the Serbian Orthodox Church of Apostles St Peter and St Paul, and a Listed Building."
