| Barragem de Vilar - [Moimenta da Beira, Viseu, Portugal] |  A Barragem de Vilar é uma barragem portuguesa erguida no rio Távora, perto da vila de Vilar (Moimenta da Beira), esta barragem serve para criar uma albufeira, a qual para além de regularizar os caudais deste rio serve para abastecer de água a central hidroeléctrica de Tabuaço (destinada à produção de energia eléctrica), a qual fica a cerca de 5 km da vila com o mesmo nome Tabuaço.
A albufeira de Vilar é também utilizada actualmente para a captação de água destinada ao abastecimento público (ver ciclo urbano da água) de diversos municípios da região.
|  The Dam Vilar is a Portuguese dam built in the Távora River near the Vilar village ( Moimenta da Beira ) , this dam is to create a reservoir , which in addition to regularize the flow of the river serves to supply the hydroelectric power station water Tabuaço ( for the production of electricity ) , which is about 5 km from the village with the same name Tabuaço .
The Vilar reservoir is also currently used for the abstraction of water for public supply ( see urban water cycle ) of various municipalities.
