Das erste Verkehrsflugzeug, das mit Überschallgeschwindigkeit flog, war die russische Tuploew TU-144. Die ersten Frachtflüge gab es ab Dezember 1975 und im November 1977 startete den Passagierbetrieb zwischen Moskau und Alma-Ata. Nach einem Unfall im Mai 1978 wurde der Flugbetrieb bereits eingestellt. So gab es nur 102 Flüge (davon 55 mit Personen) mit insgesamt 3284 beförderten Passagieren. Das hier ausgestellte Modell Tu-144D war bis ins Jahr 2000 in Schukowski eingelagert und wurde 2001 auf dem Wasser- und Landweg nach Deutschland in das Technikmuseum Sinsheim gebracht (visit link)

The Tupolev Tu-144 was the world's first commercial supersonic transport aircraft in the air. The prototype first flew on 31 December 1968. Cargo flights started in December 1975 and passenger service started on 1 November 1977. After the accident in May 1978 passenger flights stopped. So only 102 flights took place in total, including 55 passenger flights with 3284 transported passengers. You will find more information on wikipedia: (visit link)

The modell Tu-144D shown at this museum had its first flight on 19 February 1979 and its last flight on 12 November 1981. It was stored in Zhukovsky (Schukowski) until 2000. It was sold for 500,000 $ to the technology museum in Sinsheim, Germany (visit link)

"In October 2000 the nose, tail and wings were removed and CCCP-77112 was shipped on a barge for a trip from Moscow to Sinsheim via Baltic sea of more than 4,000 km. The aircraft was re-assembled and on March 2001 lifted to the roof of the museum where today is on display." (visit link) (also additional photos)
