In September 2010, the new "Glassmaker Family tree" at the "Lower Hilsstraße" in Grünenplan was inaugurated.
The new landmark of Grünenplan replaces the so-called "Blue Erich", which was dismantled due to the stability in the year of 2009.
The sculpture was designed by the artist Wiltrud Krämer. The structure consists of anodized aluminum and blue laminated glass.
The illumination of the artwork is done by radiators from the top and in the middle of the tree.
The work of art to commemorate the 850 years of glassmaking history of the place.
Im September 2010 wurde der neue „Glasmacher-Sippenbaum“ an der „Unteren Hilsstraße“ in Grünenplan eingeweiht.
Das neue Wahrzeichen von Grünenplan ersetzt den sogenannten „Blauen Erich“, der aufgrund der Standfestigkeit im Jahr 2009 demontiert wurde.
Das Bauwerk wurde von der Künstlerin Wiltrud Krämer entworfen. Das Bauwerk besteht aus eloxiertem Aluminium und blauem Verbundglas.
Die Beleuchtung des Kunstwerkes erfolgt durch Strahler von oben und in der Mitte des Baumes.
Das Kunstwerk soll an die 850-jährige Glasmachergeschichte des Ortes erinnern.
