The Banco de Espana showed the Roque Cinchado and Mt Teide on the 1000 pesetas banknote. This picture showing Cinchado and Teide is the iconic signature photo for Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands of Spain.

This banknote was withdrawn when the Euro was introduced in 1999. The image remains iconic, showing Teide, the highest peak in Spain and Atlantic islands at 3718 m or 12,198 ft. The banknote image also include other images like the worlds oldest dragon tree in Icod de los Vinos and other Roques de Garcia.
The iconic picture is on the cover of the guide book we used for hiking in Tenerife. Cinchado is just the first of many interesting rock features on the loop hike around the Roques de Garcia, 3.4 km, 200 m elevation gain
