Located in the north part of the Library Quad and south of Kidder Hall is a dedicated bench with a plaque that reads:

IN MEMORY OF
BOTOND GABOR EROSS
OCT. 30, 1942 - AUG. 21, 1991

In doing a little online research for Botond I discovered that he was an inventor in digital computer applications, particularly technologies regarding SCSI and other data transmission applications. There is also a Mathematics scholarship in his name given to undergraduates in Mathematics within the College of Science at Oregon State.
