Fort Custer Maze is a permanent attraction, made of rickety, sun-bleached wood in the shape of an Old West frontier fort. Two miles of possible trails. Bring a hat.

From Roadside America:
The first station was so ridiculously easy, we almost got our money back and left. But 90 minutes later we were laughing, running, scratching signs for ourselves in the dirt (as many many other desperate maz-ers had done) and loudly celebrating our success at finally finding the Tower.
My visit: I wish we'd thought to scratch signs in the dirt! There were 5 of us and it took us the full 90 minutes to figure it out! We weren't the only ones there and we kept running into the same people over and over going in opposite directions. I think that made it more confusing!
This attraction is not recommended for those with young children. The reclaimed wood they used to create the maze is very, very rickety. It is often not nailed down all the way, so try not to brush against it. The place is rife with weeds of all types, thistle is plenteous -- so run through with care. All of these things just make the maze more fun and endearing.
