Kaleden is within the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen. Kaleden is located on a hillside bordering Skaha Lake and overlooking the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
Kaleden is mostly an agricultural area featuring seasonal fruit and several wineries.
With a population of about 1,200 residents it is a very friendly town with locals willing to assist wayward visitors.
They have a local community center that also accommodates the library. There are activities available on most days for children and adults.
Pioneer Park is one of the larger parks in the area with well kept sandy beaches, BBQ pits, picnic tables, tennis and basketball counts.
