le bleu symbolise la qualité de vie et l'aménagement d'une ville humaine.
Le L de Laval est formé de cubes qui représentent le développement de Laval. Les lettres de la signature Laval sont liées l'une à l'autre pour rappeler la fusion des 14 municipalités de l'île Jésus. Le logo existe depuis les années 1980 et le drapeau depuis les années 1990".
