At the road between Masaka and Kampala there is a place where you cross the equator.

This place is marked by a line drawn in the middle of the street and with a monument on both sides that states "Uganda Equator".
I used my GPS device to check the accuracy and found that the actual equator is about 15 meters south of the monument.
Still, it is a fascinating feeling that here one can stand on both halves of the world.
There are restaurants and souvenir shops at the roadside and it is nice to stop here for a drink or snack.
