From Huntsville Art Tour

"In a secluded corner of this park, beside a placid pond, a Bedias Indian man bears a string of fish home to a woman and child, realistic works in concrete - the Indian man by sculptor Larry Zink, and the woman and child figure by artist Monica Taylor. A nearby plaque explains: 'At the spring near this site, the founder of Huntsville, Pleasant Gray, met in 1830 with friendly Bedias Indians who lived nearby. A town developed in 1835 and was incorporated in 1845...' the abandoned spring was restored in 1990 and the sculptures placed at the site in 1994."
