When I spotted this marker from the car, I thought it was one of the more than 20,000 Texas Historical Markers. Then I read it....

This guy has a sense of humor. Posted next to the door is a "historical marker".
Texas has almost 20,000 markers all over the place - so someone came up with Gag ones, at first glance they look just like the official ones, and this one says:
"On March 2, 1836 Texas declared her Independence from Mexico. Wild Comanches roamed the plains. Rangers protected frontier settlements, and this building was not here yet."
