"The Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church was founded in 1920.
Since then, we have been helping guide the spiritual journeys of many.
Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church has been located on Upper Front Street throughout its 95 years. The Church was initially located in the building which now housing Taylor Rental, and in 1979 we moved to our current location at 918 Upper Front Street. "
"Some of our typical projects include:
1. Bake for Church Women United's No-Bake Bread fund to fight
world hunger;
2. Assembly hygiene and school kits to send to areas (both home and
abroad) that need them;
3. Bake cakes for the Children's Home Ice Cream Social;
4. Collect for Church World Service blankets;
5. Facilitate the Shoe Box Project at Christmas to provide gifts for
children at the Binghamton Boys and Girls Club;
6. Gather calendars and greeting cards for those at the Psych Center
in Binghamton at holiday time;
7. Clean out and organize areas of the Church; and
8. Provide holiday gifts for Church shut-ins."
