"Cemetery Grounds:

Our beautiful cemetery grounds include a memorial park cemetery section, an upright monument section, open-air mausoleums with crypts and niches, various columbariums, a scattering garden, two consecrated Jewish areas, private personal estates, and a Garden of Innocence in which burial spaces are free of charge to families who have lost a child under the age of two years old. Ponte Vedra Valley has established a Care and Maintenance Trust Fund to ensure that the beauty of the cemetery will remain in perpetuity. A deposit is made into this fund for each site as it closes.

We are available for families to make arrangements at the time of need or for pre-planning. We are a non-denominational cemetery and serve families from all different religions; our grounds have been blessed by various clergy from a wide range of faiths.

Ponte Vedra Valley cemetery is open to all families regardless of whether they are using our funeral home or have selected another option. We work hand-in-hand with funeral homes in and outside of the area to provide excellent service to every family we meet.

Veterans:

Our cemetery has a Veteran’s Circle to honor those who have served our country. This area has niches for the burial of cremains and spaces for the placement of veteran markers. This is also the focal point of our annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony which is held every November 11th at 10:30. Our ceremony includes a guest speaker who is an area Veteran, a Riderless Horse, Honor Guard, and Dual Taps as played at Arlington National Cemetery.

Monuments, Statuary and Benches:

At Ponte Vedra Valley, we offer high-quality headstones in a nearly endless selection of styles and options. You can expect the best in design, craftsmanship, and value. And our experienced, professional staff members will go out of their way to treat you with the care and respect you deserve. Ponte Vedra Valley is a licensed monument dealer available to help families design a personalized and lasting tribute to their loved ones. We have many different options from flat markers, to upright markers, to the construction of private estates, along with options for memorial benches for cemeteries and statuary.

Events:

Ponte Vedra Valley holds a special ceremony, our Memory Tree Lighting, for the families who have a loved one interred at our cemetery. This ceremony is always the Saturday following the Thanksgiving weekend. A special invitation is sent out to families, and an ornament with the loved one’s name is placed on our Memory Trees. At 4:30 p.m., on the day of the ceremony, we have a trio from the Jacksonville Symphony play holiday music during this time of fellowship, and at 5:00 p.m. we begin a reading of names. This is a special time to devote to the loved one who is not with you during the holiday season. We also have Remembrance Votive Lights available for purchase for those who would like to have perpetual light at their loved ones gravesite throughout the holiday season."
