EN: The rectory of Bretzwil stands west of the church at a slope. The two-storey buildings with half-hipped roof and a double outside staircase was built from 1763 to 1766 by J.J. Fechtner, one of the greatest Baroque architect of Basel.
The house with its outbuildings is more generous than similar buildings in the area, but the architect still stayed close to the traditional architecture of the area.
DE: Das Pfarrhaus von Bretzwil steht westlich der Kirche an einem Abhang. Das zweistöckige Gebäuden mit Krüppelwalmdach und einer zweiläufigen Freitreppe wurde 1763-66 von J.J. Fechtner, einem der bedeutendsten Barockarchitekten der Stadt Basel erbaut.
Das Haus mit seinen Nebengebäuden ist grosszügiger angelegt als vergleichbare Bauten in der Gegend, der Architekt hat sich aber auch an der traditionellen Bauweise der Gegend orientiert.
