76 Trombones was originally part of the Castlegar Sculpture Walk in 2014. Artist Douglas Walker is known for his creative use of recycled musical instruments and 76 Trombones is a fine example of his craftsmanship.

His "Honkfest" a fountain feature won the "People's Choice Award" in Castlegar in 2013.
