St. Helen's Sarcophagus is located inside the Vatican Museum.
The sign accompanying this sarcophagus indicates that it had been buried at the Imperial Mausoleum at Tor Pignatura and was brought to the Vatican in 1777.
Carvings on the sarcophagus depict Roman soldiers and barbarian prisoners.
The nature of the carvings are unusual for a woman, leading some to believe that the coffin was intended for someone else...perhaps Constantine himself.
