This through-truss bridge was built in 1902 on the route of the Fort Worth & Rio Grande RR, which in 1902 became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the St. Louis & San Francisco (Frisco) Railroad.

Today this grand old truss bridge is owned and maintained by the Fort Worth & Western Railroad, a Class III shortline railroad operating on the old Frisco trackage in Texas.
One of the best places to see this old bridge is from Fort Worth's historic Oakwood Cemetery.
