EN: The train station of Waldshut is located east of the old town. It was opened in 1856 as the end point of the second track section of the Upper Rhine Railway from thr German railway station in Basel; the next leading route to Constance was taken into operation in 1863. In 1859 the station was connected with the Swiss railway network on the route Turgi-Koblenz-Waldshut.

The station is served hourly by an IRE between Basel and Ulm, as well as the regional train between Basel and Lauchringen. Then some regional trains for Weizen. The track 5, which is electrified as the only one since 1999, is served by trains of the Zürich S-Bahn network. The S27 to Baden and S41 to Winterthur also run every hour.

DE: Der Bahnhof von Waldshut befindet sich östlich der Altstadt. Er wurde 1856 eröffnet als Endpunkt des zweiten Streckenabschnitts der Hochrheinbahn vom Badischen Bahnhof in Basel; die weiter führende Strecke nach Konstanz wurde 1863 in Betrieb genommen. 1859 wurde der Bahnhof mit der Strecke Turgi-Koblenz-Waldshut an das schweizerische Eisenbahnnetz angebunden.

Der Bahnhof wird im Stundentakt vom IRE zwischen Basel und Ulm, sowie dem Regionalzug zwischen Basel und Lauchringen bedient. daneben verkehren noch einzelne Regionalzüge nach Weizen. Das Gleis 5, das seit 1999 als einziges elektrifiziert ist, wird von Zügen des Zürcher S-Bahn-Netzes bedient. Die S27 nach Baden und die S41 nach Winterthur verkehren ebenfalls im Stundentakt.
