Signs for rotaries can be confusing: with this one, you better be counting the exiting roads - and be in the right lane while you are at it.

In Augusta, on the east side of the river, is this - and many others similar to it - surrounding a large and confusing rotary.

The rotary is where several major roads come together from five directions:
-This one, with no highway routes, is along Bridge Street, which leads to a bridge that crosses the Kennebec to downtown Augusta.
- The next, clockwise, is US 202 that continues east - along with US 201 (North), Maine Route 100 (North), and Maine Route 9 (East).
- The next is Maine Route 105 (East).
- The next is Maine Route 17 (East).
- The last is US 202 - along with US 201 (South), Maine Route 100 (South) and Maine Route 17 (West) going southwest over the bridge toward the Maine State Capitol.

The yield sign is for the side road that I am on. Of course, notice that there is a No Left Turn sign for this road, at a T intersection, which means - you have no choice but to go through this rotary. And then there is the tree that is growing in front of the sign.

All you have to do is to enter the rotary and count the exits to the right one, but wait, there is is much more.

As you pass this sign and approach the rotary, there are lanes to choose from, with squiggly symbols painted on them - the left most with 'ONLY' painted below it. A sign on the right and ahead repeat the symbols and add text that is rather lengthy on the sign immediately below. These signs are apparently only for the locals, since only the locals would know the street names.

It only took us two rounds to navigate around it!
