For those, (like me) who didn't know, a priory is a monastery or monastic dependency whose superior is a prior. Some monastic orders call all of their monasteries priories. A prior is a monastic superior, usually lower in rank than an abbot. Priories were originally offshoots from the larger abbeys, however, the actual distinction between abbeys and priories was lost by the Renaissance.
This priory belongs to the "Soeurs du Christ", which is part of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The Jesuits have their own religious rule which distinguishes them from Benedictines and Franciscans.
You can stay overnight at this priory for 14 euros/night. Lodging is basic with a sink in the room, but shared bathrooms and showers outside in the hall. Bring your own towel. A very french breakfast of coffee/tea, baguette, butter and jam (but nothing else) is included. Groups definitely need to book in advance (see web site).
The priory is located about a 15 minute walk from the Epernon train station. The train ride between Epernon and the Montparnasse train station in Paris is about 40 minutes.
