The Charlottetown Mural was completed in 10 days during the inaugural Charlottetown Mural Festival. The hope is that this will be the first of a series of murals to be added to the downtown Charlottetown area during subsequent yearly Mural Festivals.
The striking scene is a panorama of items found in and around the Charlottetown and general PEI areas. A striking 20' lobster is the centrepiece, but there are other more subtle images, such as a ship's helm, fishing boat tackle, a light house.
The artists are A’Shop, a non-profit organization from Montreal, where they also have a Mural Festival, held yearly in June.
