Fort Worth firefighter turned historian, Charlie founded, in 1975, along with his wife Sue, the North Fort Worth Historical Society to preserve the Stockyards and North Fort Worth. (visit link)

Along with her husband, Charlie, Sue founded the North Fort Worth Historical Society where she served as president for 25 years. During her tenure, the first visitor information center was opened and historical markers were placed in the Fort Worth Stockyard’s National Historic District. (visit link)

Throughout the walkways of the Fort Worth National Historic District, bronze inlaid markers have been placed in honor of their achievements.
