The plaque says, "This park is dedicated to Jim Clutter, El Segundo City Council 1988 - 1991. On this spot he launched a successful campaign to limit the growth and noise of LAX, stop the incursion of jet aircraft into El Segundo's airspace, and protect El Segundo's small-town quality of life".
