EN: The mineral spring Eptingen is located north of the village at some distance. Here since the year 1900, mineral water is bottled under the brand name Eptinger.

The mineral spring was first described already in 1693; from 1700 until the 1st World War here was an important spa. Because the spring is located in the Jura Mountains, the content of calcium and magnesium is higher than at comparable springs in the granitic Alps. For the same reason the water contains no detectable natural uranium.

In addition to the mineral water Eptinger also various soft drinks are produced here since 1950, especially the in Switzerland widespread Pepita.

The company employs about 75 people and has a production capacity of nearly 500,000 bottles per day.

DE: Die Mineralquelle Eptingen befindet sich in einigem Abstand nördlich des Dorfes. Hier wird seit dem Jahr 1900 Mineralwasser unter dem Markennamen Eptinger abgefüllt.

Das Mineralwasser wurde schon 1693 erstmals beschrieben; von 1700 bis zum 1. Weltkrieg befand sich hier ein bedeutender Badekurort. Da sich die Quelle im Juragebirge befindet ist der Anteil and Calcium und Magnesium höher als bei vergleichbaren Quellen in den granithaltigen Alpen. Aus dem selben Grund enthält das Wasser kein nachweisbares natürliches Uran.

Neben dem Eptinger Mineralwasser wurden hier seit 1950 auch diverse Süssgetränke produziert, vor allem das in der Schweiz weit verbreitete Pepita.

Das Unternehmen beschäftigt etwa 75 Mitarbeiter und hat eine Produktionskapazität von beinahe 500'000 Flaschen pro Tag.
