EN: From Wikipedia: "August Suter (19 July 1887 – 28 November 1965) was one of the most prominent Swiss sculptors of European stature in the first half of the 20th century. His circle of friends included important literary figures like Blaise Cendrars and James Joyce."
His son Claude donated the artistic legacy of his father's to the municipality of Eptingen where he was citizen. The municipality thus opened a August Suter Museum, from 1980 in the old mill, later in the school building and now the upper floor of the house next door to the town hall. In 1996, the Museum was redesigned with the financial help of the Cantonal Museum Society and the Lottery Fund.
The museum is not visible from the outside and not signed. There are no regular opening times. Interested visitors can pre-register at the town hall.

Sein Sohn Claude schenkte den künstlerischen Nachlass seines Vaters der Gemeinde Eptingen, wo dieser Bürger gewesen war. Die Gemeinde eröffnete damit ein August Suter Museum, ab 1980 in der alten Mühle, später im Schulhaus und nun im Obergeschoss des Nebenhauses der Gemeindeverwaltung. 1996 wurde das Museum mit finanzieller Hilfe der kantonalen Museumsgesellschaft und des Lotteriefonds neu gestaltet.
Das Museum ist von aussen nicht zu sehen und nicht beschriftet. Es gibt auch keine regulären Öffnungszeiten. Interessierte Besucher können sich bei der Gemeindeverwaltung voranmelden.
