Georges Courteline was a French novelist and dramatist, born in Tours in 1858 and died in Paris in 1929.
This statue is a bust of him, placed in Boulevard de Picpus, in the small garden in the center of the avenue. It represents the author in a real life size bust made of bronze on a granite plinth.
The plaque merely mentions his place and date of born and death.
