ATSF 999256 is a standard cupola caboose built in May 1929, and then rebuilt in August 1967. It was later repainted as Rock Island 17145.
It is painted red and yellow and sits by itself in this parking lot, not appearing to be connected at all with any business, museum or park. There is no signage nearby and the interior is not accessible to the public.
