Although the Datasheet says this stone was monumented in 1958, the Delaware Historical Society says it is an original Mason-Dixon boundary stone set in 1766.
One side of the stone post is inscribed with the letter P, and the other with the letter M.
The stone is located on private property, but the owners will allow a visit and pictures if asked politely for permission. They understand the historic value of this stone, and are willing to share what they know about it with passers-by from Texas who (they think) talk funny: The owner and I agreed that one person in our conversation DID have a funny accent -- ha ha.
