A Kaufman County Historical Marker in Cedarvale Cemetery indicates that the burial of I.H. Woodhouse on October 2, 1851, was the earliest burial in the cemetery.

According to Findagrave (see link), this was a young child by the name of Irenia H. Woodhouse. Her marble headstone is in excellent condition, standing in with the other Woodhouse family members, and it says:

I.H. Woodhouse

born
Mar. 23, 1848,
died
Oct. 2, 1851.

The historical marker provides the background:

The community of Cedarvale is an old one and has also been known as Buie and Heidle through the years. The earliest burial was on Oct. 02, 1851, I.H. Woodhouse, and Daniel Buie born May 06, 1808 has the earliest date of birth.
