Thank God we walked across the border, so we didn't have to try and figure out what we were supposed to do.

THE LACK OF FORMATTING HERE IS A BUG, NOT THE WAY WE PRESENT THE WAYMARK TO YOU. WE ARE SORRY WE CANNOT FIX IT.
We had a feeling that we were dealing with a bad translation when we saw that the work "truck" has been misspelled here.
As we walked across the border, we saw a confusing sign that was obviously aimed at folks who driver over the border.
In Spanish and with an English translation it reads:
"Permision de Importacion Temporal
Importation Temporal Permission"
In English, the word "temporal" relates to worldly or secular affairs, as opposed to spiritualism and holy matters. We were pretty sure the Mexican Government was not asking us to formally declare that we were atheists at the border station before bringing something into the country -- but that seemed like what they were asking for with this confusing sign.
Mama Blaster, who can speak enough Spanish not to order something wiggly and gross for dinner, finally figured out that this was a request to stop in if you had some goods to bring into the country on a temporary basis, like luggage or your America-based car.
A better, non-Engrish, translation would have been "Temporary Permission for Imports"
And the translated English word "Truk" -- this close to Texas, and whoever designed, approved, ordered, fabricated, and installed the sign misspelled "TRUCK"???? <SMH>
