This cemetery was originally endowed by the local Masonic lodge, but was then later turned over to the community to maintain. Considering the number of burials here, the low number of only 25 graves with missing dates, according to FindAGrave, is really good. The oldest recorded grave is from 1899, making this a relatively "new" cemetery compared to most others in southwest Missouri.

At the time of this waymark listing the latest burial was, of course, from the year of this posting: 2015. At this time there were 8 centenarians buried here.
